Ekalavya123 Posted August 4, 2014 Author Report Posted August 4, 2014 New Delhi: Supreme Court said that governments should not bring politics into this matter as the future of the students is important. It also opined that the argument of Telangana government on nativity is also not correct. Next hearing of the case is on Monday, August 11. Earlier higher education council decided to issue EAMCET counseling notification on August 7. This decision was opposed by Telangana Government. It is arguing that they need time to decide rules and regulations for fee imbursement. The government is requesting that they are given time till October for completing EAMCET admissions. Andhra Pradesh government on the other side is saying that students will lose a valuable academic year if counseling is postponed till October. Higher education council released EAMCET notification a few days ago. According to the schedule, Certificate verification will be from August 7 to August 23. Fifty seven helpline centers are sets up, 34 in Andhra Pradesh and 23 in Telangana. It is estimated that 2,15,336 students will attend the counseling. Telangana government announced that they Telangana students will not attend the counseling. They asked the Telangana students to boycott the counseling. The government said cutoff for nativity is set up as 1956 and they will follow this to reimburse fees only for Telangana students. They questioned how Andhra Pradesh government will held counseling for the colleges in Telangana.
