This is the inspiring story of Jitu Rai, 27 year old Indian pistol shooter who recently bagged the World's number One title.

Jitu hails from Lucknow and is financially from a weaker background. When he was handed a rifle for the first time in Indian Army's 11th Gorkha Regiment in 2006, he was sent back due to his poor performance. Many would consider such an incident as a personal failure. But Jitu decided to pursue his interest in shooting and started participating in nationals. Since then there's no looking back for this young achiever.

Speaking on his stupendous performance, Jitu Rai said, "To win a Gold medal at a World Cup event and to hear the Indian National anthem play is a dream come true for me. I have worked really hard for this."

Apart from bringing national pride, this is a inspiring little story for our generation that give up too easily. We salute the hard work, perseverance and 'never-say-die' attitude of Jitu Rai.
