South Padre Visa Question ...please Help

My Student Visa got expired as I got 2 and Half years Visa. Now I am on OPT, will I be able to make it to South Padre and come back? I heard they will have some Visa checks while returning..

south padre dhati povali anukunta man, there will be a mexico exit and you will return without entering mexico, then US border security does the process.  as of I know
