Though nobody is coming out, the Telangana government's decision to fix 1956 as cut-off year for proving one's nativity, is going to pose problems for many Telanganites themselves, leave alone people of Seemandhra living in Telangana. As there are no records of any sort, that were maintained from as far back in 1956, it will be difficult for the current generation of Telanganites that their grandfathers lived in Telangana only. But TS minister Jagadeesh Reddy says this is not a problem. There was a suggestion to abandon 1956 rule and instead test people by the dialect they speak and manner of speaking. But to conduct such tests on four crore people, is a tall order task.
