Nellore district politics heated up as it is seen that YSRCP leaders are eyeing on TDP to join. Nellore Mayor Abdul Ajij has already made up his mind to join TDP. In this line 15 more corporators are likely to join TDP. Rumours aired that Nellore ZP Chairman Bommireddy is likely to join TDP after quitting to YSRCP. On the other hand, Bommireddy ruled out the said rumours saying that he is meeting TDP leaders keeping in mind the developmental aspects of his constituency
