psycopk Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 People are partners in the process of developing AP I had a day-long conference with collectors from all the 13 districts of AP. Our aim is to focus on inclusive growth, poverty alleviation and wealth creation. To implement our vision, officials should adopt “out-of-box thinking”. Self-help groups are our biggest strength. They are the drivers of social empowerment in the society. Our aim is to see at least one member from each family in the state belonging to SHG. We know we are not in a comfortable situation. We have difficulties and challenges. But, we can progress if people become partners in the process. Public satisfaction is very important in transforming Andhra Pradesh into "Sunrise" state.
psycopk Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 AP to become a health hub To make quality healthcare services available to poor people, NTR health cards will be issued within two months. Our government will set up 104 helpline to offer telemedicine services and monitor health of patients. Feedback will be sought from Aarogyasri beneficiaries through an IVRS-based response system. Andhra Pradesh is building an online mechanism for single-window clearance for industries. Companies will get faster approvals. This will create an investor-friendly climate in the state. I was delighted to meet Tata Sons chairman Cyrus P. Mistry today. He assured us that Tata Group would help AP through its expertise in technology and other sectors. My vision is to build smart cities in AP. This is the best way forward for us. This will stand as an example for other states in India.
psycopk Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 AP to become energy-efficient state I had a fruitful discussion with the executives of Shell, GAIL and GDF Suez on Kakinada LNG Terminal. We will source nearly 2,000MW power from this plan. AP has abundant energy resources. Our government will tap renewable energy sources to encourage clean and green power sources like wind and sun. This will reduce our dependence on natural resources. This is a step towards making Andhra Pradesh an energy-efficient state.
psycopk Posted August 8, 2014 Author Report Posted August 8, 2014 I was glad to be at the first graduation ceremony of students of IIIT Basara, Kadapa and Nuzvid (RGUKT University) today. To develop AP into a Silicon Corridor, we will focus on fabless semi-conductor industry, manufacturing of electronic products and components and by attracting companies that work on emerging technologies like SMAC (Social media, mobility, analytics and cloud) and IOT (Internet of Things). My vision for AP is to develop it into a knowledge society of global repute, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life of its citizens -- through high-quality education and healthcare, increased agriculture productivity and allied activities, creation of employment opportunities by promoting electronics and IT industries. And, above all, by providing good governance.
