TMC forcibly takes possession of office after TDP refuses to vacate

There has been another case of politicians misbehaving in Parliament, but this time not in the Well of the House. A scuffle broke out between Telugu Desam Party and Trinamool Congress MPs in the halls of Parliament on Tuesday after TDP MPs refused to vacate an office allotted to the Trinamool Congress.

The TDP MPs met Speaker Sumitra Mahajan later in the day and expressed their grievances.

TMC MPs took the possession of the office forcibly and also removed the TDP board outside the room. The TDP MPs then put up their board again and refused to vacate the room.

The TDP MPs have complained to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu.

TDP Office Secretary Satya Narayan said, "The TMC said that Room no 5 has been allotted to them and one of their MPs removed our board. But we have been allotted a room on the 3rd floor. There must ahve been a mutual understanding. We'll speak to the Speaker to avoid the confusion."

"The Speaker's office has directed us to take room no. 5. We have 46 MPs but we didn't have any place to sit. TDP has been allotted a room on the third floor, said TMC MP Sudip Bandopadhyay.
