The form that is required for the Intensive House-hold Survey Lakhs of people from the Telangana State had migrated to states like Maharashtra and Gujarat in search of livelihood. Nearly eight lakh such people reportedly live in Mumbai alone. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that only people who are enrolled in the survey will be eligible for welfare schemes and benefits offered by the state government in future. People are now frantically asking their near and dear ones to return home at any cost for the survey. “It’s a mad rush out there. Everything is packed till August 18,” said a travel agency.
