timmy Posted August 25, 2014 Report Posted August 25, 2014 A gold colour tortoise found in a village called Virava in Pithapuram mandal of East Godavari district. Generally tortoise appear in dark brown colour. This gold colour tortoise found out in a paddy field of a farmer in this village. He found this in the irrigation canal. He caught it and took to the village and showed it to all. They said it was a rare tortoise and started worshipping it. He kept the tortoise in the well of the farmer. The village people have been considering as a manifestation of Vishnu Murthy.
