Jaya Can't Digest Telugus Growth?

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's letter to PM Narendra Modi asking him not to give grants to the new states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is undemocratic, illegitimate and non negotiable. Rather than asking incentives for her own State, demanding for not to give grants to neighbouring states is something bolt out of the blue. It is visible, conspicuous that Jayalalithaa can't digest the growth of AP and Telangana. 

Especially, Jaya seems to be more concerned with the Centre's grants for Seemandhra as she is afraid that many multi-national companies would shift their base to adjacent AP which in turn affect the growth of Tamil Nadu. This is not one instance where Tamils are envy of the progress of Andhra Pradesh. It dates back to Madras State where Andhra was part of. Since then, Telugus are oppressed by Tamils. Jayalalithaa's latest letter not just hurting the sentiments of Telugus but it also provoking the regional disparities and widening the gap between people of neighbouring states.

Although Jaya claims in her letter that there should be an uniform policy in showering such incentives but not on regional basis, the fact of the matter is that Centre is granting special incentives only because of the "special conditions" within AP and T. Given that AP is formed with a deficit budget sans industries, hospitals, educational institutions, government organizations, it is direly in need of Centre's help. At this juncture, rather than helping neighbouring state, Jaya's stand to oppose the Centre's concessions for AP, T is unpardonable. It's time for Jaya to realize the realities.
