Indian army started retaliation to the Pakistan army's unprovoked firing. Indian soldiers thwarted the Pak army's violation of ceasefire. They attacked on the Pakistan army's posts. 10 soldiers of Pakistan were shot dead in the retaliation firing. Many more were injured. Meanwhile, BSF director general DK Pathak warned Pakistan that there would be retaliation for the unprovoked firing. He said that they would not initiate firing along LoC, but would retaliate when needed.
