United States Postal Stamp Release On Dr Akkineni

Akkineni Foundation of America (AFA) is proud to announce that United Stated Postal Service (USPS)  has confirmed to issue a postal stamp in honor of the Legend Veteran actor Padma Vibhushan, Natasamrat, Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao very soon.

“It is a long journey - submitting needed documents and literature from time to time and explaining Dr. Akkineni’s salient features but all that hard work paid off – it is the first time in the history of the USA that an Indian movie actor getting this kind of rare honor of commemorative postal stamp release.

We sincerely thank USPS for consenting our request to issue this postal stamp in honor of Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao”, Dr.Prasad Thotakura, AFA President said.

We will host Dr. ANR’s Postal Stamp release special ceremony in Dallas, Texas on September 20th ,  2014 on Dr. ANR’s Birthday. More information to follow.

AFA is also planning to release this same stamp in India at the first “International Akkineni Awards Ceremony” in the midst of ANR family members hosted by AFA to be held on December 17th , 2014 at ANR College, Gudivada, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh.  

We have formed Akkineni Foundation of America (AFA) with the following objectives

1. To carry forward the principles and ideology of Dr. Akkineni Nageswara Rao like hard work, discipline, self-confidence, vision, philanthropy and community service.
2. To institute awards on his name and honor people from different walks of life who strive for better society. 
3. To conduct events that will carry forward his ideology in the areas of education, health care, selfless community service for a better society and passing the cultural values to the next generation.
