2..The Ganesha Idols used to be made only with Clay and Natural elements. It was to stress on the concept that anything that is taken from the earth should go back to the earth.

3..The act of Visarjjanam resembles the concept of Moksha or liberation.ie – freedom – no clinging, not even to gods.’thats why the Ganesha idols are made out of clay, worshiped and later it is submerged.

4..Dissolving represents the cycle of creation.

5..The clay idol is symbolic of the human body composed of the five elements. It should spend time on the earth in a manner that it is worshipped! After its worshippable stay on the earth, it finally merges back with the elements.

6.The Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Aaakasamu,idols are usually made up of clay(now a days palster of paris anuko) thus thanking the Mother Earth..., Fire: the aartis ,light of diyas, akhand jyoti,............ Water: to immerse the idol in water thanking the varuna for quenching the thirst of all living beings, the Lord travels via vayu marga to the heavens i.e. the sky to got o thaer Heavenly abode
