The Sports Authority of India (SAI) have suggested to the sports ministry that India mustn’t allow sportspersons who do not stand a chance of winning a medal at the said competition be allowed to represent the nation.

“We have already suggested that football, table tennis, basketball, handball and sepak takraw should not be cleared for the Asian Games, as they don’t stand any chance of winning a medal,” said a senior SAI official told The Telegraph.
