Congress senior leader Jairam Ramesh told that the Modi Government failed to fulfill the promises made to AP in the elections . Jairam alleged that the Modi Government has lagged behind in keeping up the assurances in the AP reorganisation act and also mentioned that the initiative is lacking in giving funds for the AP capital and Polavaram and added that the Modi Government has put aside the issue of giving special status to AP .

Congress leader T Subbirami Reddy expressed his concerns on the assurances made by Modi on AP capital and special status to AP . TSR reminded that PM Narendra Modi has promised that he would help to build a good capital for AP at Tirupathi election campaign and also said that Modi assured special status to AP but felt that there is no momentum in this regard even after AP CM Chandrababu Naidu met and discussed with the PM .
