Congress leader from Andhra Pradesh JD Seelam stated that the BJP has opposed the formation of Hyderabad as Union Territory and felt that Hyderabad as Union Territory would have helped AP to avoid the financial deficit . JD Seelam further added that the AP Government has failed even to embark upon the Governor powers on Hyderabad . JD Seelam reminded BJP stance during the bifurcation on Hyderabad and also stated that the TDP was silent when the Congress leaders from AP were fighting to make Hyderabad a UT .
