ponugupati Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Changing employer after 140 does not need a wait period of 180 days. He can change the employer any time, however some of the companies ask for I140 approval copy. I140 is an employer's document and they do not share it with the employees. Even though if employer revokes the approved I140, you can still port the priority date. Priority date cannot be revoked. But if the employee h1 6 year tenure is almost used then if I140 is revoked by the employer during the H1b transfer, then the h1b transfer may be approved for the remaining 6 year tenure.

Hi Ponugupati, My friend completed his 6 year h1 tenure and his h1 transfer was also approved yesterday. he didnot inform his employer still now. At this moment what problems employer A can create.

nahor1010 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 I thought your 485 was also applied. Lekapothe you can change jobs at any time post your I140 approval.. nee pd will be retained even if your employer revoked I140. However the revocation is not fraud and misinterpretation.
