His 1.5 years old kid is fighting for life as his liver got affected while he was getting treated for jaundice in a private hospital. Since his condition was not getting any better he was advised to admit his kid to Kokilaben hospital. However he got a shock of his life when he learnt from Kokilaben hospital that his liver has damaged and due to swelling in his brain an immediate liver transplant was needed. As the condition worsened the kid’s mom got ready to donate part of her liver to enable the liver transplantation. 8-9 hours long operation was performed on both of them successfully on July 1st 2014. The package cost of entire liver transplant treatment for a week was 15-17 lakhs. But since the operation, the kid still has not come to conscious state having some complications or the other, undergoing series of operations. This has left the parents to deal not only with mental agony but also a huge financial crisis. Each passing day the cost of stay and treatment is mounting which has exhausted all his savings. An additional 10 lakhs bill is due now for which he is running pillar to post to raise the funds.
