nijame.. scottish people spend a lot on their habits. statistically the amount of the VAT/tax called sin taxes generated because of their habits is more than the mean of UK

Scotland do have a decent number of working people. to put it numbers - top 1% (>50% tax) of UK taxpayers contribute to  25% of income tax at a UK level and Scotland's top 1% of taxpayers pay 17% of their income tax. what ever the lack of income tax revenue is compensated handsomely by the revenue from North sea oil. 

 

For me the whole issue is not about few passion statements points to make a decision. there is a lot and i feel the involved politicians are not divulging actual facts and figures. instead they driving people based on emotions and sentiments.

 

which ever the road scottish people decides to take they got to live with that decision. i really hope they have the guts and patience to sustain in this modern world with what ever that leads to if they chose to be independent
