Chakali Ilamma is the common woman and an illiterate but she showed tremendous spirit in fighting the injustice and her revolt led initiated the Telangana movement . Today is Chakali Ilamma ' s 29 th death anniversary and it is celebrated not only in Telangana but also in coastal Andhra . Chakali Ilamma fought against the atrocities of feudal lords of Telangana and it even moved the Communists at that time . Ilamma sacrificed her life towards Telangana agitation and breathed her last on 10 th of September 1985 .
