Macaroni Grill, 100 N. University Dr., Plantation was closed Aug. 31 after an inspector observed violations that included: a slicer blade guard soiled with old food debris; a reach-in cooler was not maintaining potentially hazardous food at proper temperatures; sewage/wastewater was leaking through the juncture of the wall and floor at the end of the cook’s line and had a foul odor. Water also covered the floor at a service/drink station inside the kitchen and hot water was not available at all fixtures throughout the building. Ceiling tiles and/or air conditioning vent covers had an accumulation of a mold-like substance. The business was allowed to reopened Aug. 31. A manager could not immediately be reached for comment.
