The AP Government is drafting plans to turn Vijayawada into a lively city following the announcement of it being the AP capital . As a part of this decision the Government decided to bring life to Vijayawada by turning into a more tourists friendly destination with pleasant atmosphere . Three major canals Bandar canal , Eluru canal and Rivas canal embrace through the city of Vijayawada but they were never taken care of but now the Government is planning to completely transform them and bring new look to the city of Vijayawada .
