చిత్తూరు జిల్లా నగరిలో శనివారం ఉద్రిక్తత చోటుచేసుకుంది. నగరి అమ్మవారి జాతర ముగింపు సందర్భంగా వైసీపీ, టీడీపీ వర్గాల మధ్య వివాదం నెలకొంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా జరిగిన తోపులాటలో నగరి ఎమ్మెల్యే రోజా చేతికి గాయమైంది. దీంతో అక్కడ ఉద్రిక్త పరిస్థితులు నెలకొన్నాయి. అధికార టీడీపీ నేతలు ఉద్దేశపూర్వకంగానే రోజాపై దాడికి పాల్పడ్డారని వైసీపీ నేతలు మండిపడ్డారు. 

నగరి అమ్మవారి జాతర ముగింపు సందర్భంగా స్థానిక ఎమ్మెల్యే అమ్మవారికి హారతి ఇవ్వడం ఆనవాయతీ. ఈ క్రమంలో అమ్మవారికి హారతి ఇచ్చేందుకు సిద్ధమైన రోజాను జాతర పెద్ద కుమరేశన్ మొదలియార్ అడ్డుకున్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా జరిగిన తోపులాటలో రోజా చేతిలోని హారతి పళ్లెంను ప్రత్యర్థి వర్గం లాగేసింది. దీంతో రోజా చేతికి గాయమైంది. టీడీపీ నేతల దౌర్జన్య కాండకు ఈ ఘటన తార్కాణంగా నిలుస్తోందని చంద్రగిరి ఎమ్మెల్యే చెవిరెడ్డి భాస్కరరెడ్డి ఆరోపించారు

In Chittoor district at Nagari, two political parties mainly ruling TDP and YSRCP have indulged in religious clash over the aarathi rituals given to Ammavaru in the Gangamma Jatara. YSRCP MLA Roja, who is said to give the aarathi to Ammavaru every year has been objected by the TDP activists which has led to stampede like situations. It has turned violent and MLA Roja sustained minor injury at her wrist.
