just2deal Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 MSOs have right to stop any channels that subscribers protest /complaint about or which are not in the interest of the local people.If Central government takes action against cable operators or forces them to telecast ABN/TV9 ,TRS can activate local supporters and ask them to protest in front of cable operators offices demanding withdrawal of telecasting of those channels (in guise as cable subscribers) .If they vandalize few of the offices/equipment/cut cables etc..they will shut down the channels and inform court that they can not telecast channels which are against the sentiment/wishes of their subscribers..and TRAI acts clearly supports the MSOs on this..other wise MSO's would have been telecasting porn channels and Pakistani channels Still if ABN and TV9 sails through all of these govt will bring TN type cable bill and immediately the speaker will give out his pending decision banning the two channels ! So ,in the end even opposition parties can not question the speaker as all MLAs have unanimously gave authority to speaker take action !
