“I will complete Thotapalli Project within a year!”

- CBN at a public event in Srikakulam

Thotapalli Project was finalized during the Telugu Desam regime in 2003. Ten years ago, the previous government undertook the project under ‘Jalayagnam’ but made no progress – courtesy its corrupt practices and gross negligence of the needs of farmers. CBN is all set to revive the project and complete in record time.

Highlights of Thotapalli project:

· To be constructed on Nagavalli river

· Stabilisation of 64,000 acres

· Irrigation potential of 1.2 Lakh Acres

· Water storage capacity of 2.67 TMC

· Mandals benefitted: 10 in Srikakulam and 12 in Vizianagaram
