timmy Posted September 22, 2014 Author Report Posted September 22, 2014 "Telangana is part of India" - High Court September 22nd, 2014, 06:26 PM IST Telangana Government received a big setback in High Court Today regarding the 'Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana (FAST) scheme. Earlier, T-Govt. issued GO 36 stating 'Fast' scheme will be applicable for only the students who parents were bonafide residents of Telangana as on Novermber 1st, 1956. The issue is regarding providing financial assistance to Students from the current academic year 2014-15. Former Ministers Dokka Manikya Varaprasad and Pithani Satyanarayana approached High Court seeking action against TRS Government. High Court opined Telangana government FAST scheme is a threat to National integrity. "Telangana is part of India. FAST GO is threat to National integrity and its unacceptable. T-Govt will have to reconsider the GO as eventually effects the education of lakhs of students," reacted High Court, apart from posting the near hearing to 6 weeks from now.
