Roger Federer is going to play for
Team India in the inaugural edition of
International Premier Tennis League
(IPTL). He will join Pete Sampras,
Gael Monfils, Ana Ivanovic, Sania
Mirza and Rohan Bopanna in Team
India.
Actually, Another top player Raphael
Nadal was supposed to play for India
but pulled out of event citing health
issues. As a result, IPTL hired Roger
Federer to replace him.
Roger Federer is a seventeen-time
Grand Slam winner and he is regarded
as one of the greatest sportsperson
ever. So, its going to be great learning
experience for Sania Mirza and Rohan
Bopanna.
IPTL is styled on BCCI's Indian
Premier League. The prize money
offered is $29.7 Million.
