ye maaya chesave Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Story: Venkateswarlu (Gopichand) is a good natured youngster who helps out a sister of a goon to elope from Warangal. He falls in love with Chandra Kala (Rakul Preet Singh) in Hyderabad. Chandra Kala is fond of her brother and he fixes her marriage with another guy. Rest of the story is all about how Venkateswarlu traps heroine’s brother to make him agree. Performances: Gopichand was present for most of the time on screen and his performance was fine. Rakul Preet was good as female lead. Brahmi was usual and his comedy worked most of the times. Chandramohan has considerable footage in second half and he was also good. 30 Years Prudhvi has got good role as Boling Star Babloo and his re entry in climax added much more entertainment to that episode. Sampath has almost same length of the hero in this movie but he didn't had much scope to perform. Mukesh rishi was adequate and rahul dev was present in the movie for the sake of interval twist. Raghubabu and other comedian gang were apt for their roles. Technical Departments: Story-Screenplay-Direction : Story is routine one and tried n tested by many since years. However good screenplay can make these kind of formula based entertainers successful . Screenplay was adequate for the first half. Romance track between lead pair and the entertainment were not great nor they were too bad. Interval twist is predictable . Screenplay for the Second half is much better because there is much happening in the second half. Comedy between hero- Villain/brahmi & co worked well but some scenes are predictable as expected because of the repetitive screenplay . Director nicely inserted the Boiling star character in the climax and that paid off very well. Other Departments: Dialogues were okay by sreedhar seepana. Music by Anup rubens is adequate, all songs went unnoticed except for the first song in second half, background score was fine. Editing was also good. Action Sequences were routine. My Rating: 5.5/10 Analysis: Lokyam- A Routine Commercial Entertainer. Entertainment in Second Half worked out well for the film. But more care should have been taken on the overall treatment of the movie.
