Gajji_maraja Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 Three persons were found guilty on Thursday by a Tirupati court of carrying out a landmine blast near the temple town in October 2003 targeting the convoy of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. They were sentenced to four-year imprisonment. Tirupati Additional Senior Civil Judge also imposed a Rs 5,000 fine on each of the three convicts — A Ramamohan Reddy, Narasimha Reddy and Chandu alias Keshav. While Narasimha Reddy and Keshav have been found guilty of planting the bomb, Ramamohan, a sub-editor with the now-banned Maoist magazine Kranti, was convicted for his role in the blast. On October 1, 2003, suspected Maoists triggered a landmine explosion as the convoy of Naidu passed by near Alipiri in Tirupati.
