nenunanu Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 entah time pattochu?? for 3TB database it all depends on the speed of the server man..if the backups are on the same server as the database it will be faster nut depends on memory and cpu as well...if the backups are on network it depends on the network speed 3 tb ante normal server ki 15 hrs padtadi
nenunanu Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Database shutdown cheyakunda.....Linux OS ne shutdown chesthe,,....database crash avuhdaa??.....malli system back vachinappudu database ne retrieve cheyaleema?? ee situation lo when the linux is back database will also be back..as 99% of the databases on unix THESE DAYS are configured to start at boot If not just start up the database it should do crash recovery automatically..u wouldn't need restore in this scenario
MeetFriendz Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 backups ki yendhku veltunavu aasalu ... if there is some operations going on in your database ..after system admin starts th servers .... start your database normally .... then try to see if its coming up good or not ... your commited data should be intact prior to shutdown .. only ongoing or inflight trasactions or data will need to be restored so for that recoveryoperation will be performed by database itself duirng the start up and once it can get to the point of complete recovery it opens the database .... unless you miss any of the files on disks .... :) dont worry things happens on fridays only mostly ... so just be patient and get out of the situation
