worst case - u will be out by jan/feb which is good for market and u can find another one

Agree with the above comment.

Also If you are currently on bench, take this position. And weekends keep an eye out for other openings. Hopefully At the end of three months, you'll get a new position, and you can decide between that and this spot if it gets extended. Worst case, this won't get extended and you won't get another spot. You will still end up with some money and you would have made contacts at this client.
