First of all Junior doctors are people who are in TRAINING  , they are supposed to learn and practice from Attendings ( Certified  Doctors ) ,

The infrastructure in Govt hospital is very sub standard than other corporate hospital with poor supplies and man power ,  i remember having one Ventilator( artificial breathing machine )  for a ICU of 20 beds and standard antibiotics for which most of bacterial might be resistant in Tertiary Govt center in Hyderabad    , and they expect all the work to be done by doctors in training and blame the death of patient on them  ( we don't know the exact reason why the patient died , i think there are Certified doctors who should take care of the people )

We also don't have team approach , like Nurses and other ancilliary staff to be supportive who are all responsible for patient care

Coming to Rural service , they can cut down on the training time from 5.5 years to 5 years and than use the rest 6 months for Rural training

rather than increasing the MBBS course to 6.5 years

its very frustrating studying for 6.5 years when countries like US the course is only 4 years of medicine

If you are studying medicine it doesn't mean that you automatically need to do service to poor without taking any money ,

taking care of family should be first than taking care of society , and with mere 20 k rupees you expect people to survive , where

cost of living has gone so high

With the amount of money they spent on AAROGYASRI  feeding corporate hospitals , they could have built excellent / super excellent hospitals

with great faculty and infrastructure and treat the poor efficiently

Know the ground facts before making any comments

i posted abt the ppl who r wrong

pls tell me how many of u guys worked on postings without any fail during internship

i have seen many house surgeons who paid other guys to work on their behalf jus to attend new year parties

inka ala dumma kotti vaalu nerchukunedii endii

yeah ofcourse I heard from my frnd that he has seen ppl dying  jus because of shortage of ventillators n oxygen cylinders $s@d $s@d

what I feel is atleast medical profession shud be made free of commercialization

all these years you  guys study learn from private institutions

y do u guys go for a medical seat in govt institutions

you made statements abt reducing the course work to 4 yrs or 5yrs or whatever

there are passdouts who cant even do a small surgeries like appendicitis 5 yrs lo nerchukonidi 4 yrs lo nerchukoo galuguthada

I don't know if you have some kind of exposure to medicine , or is it just friends ,

i agree with you about bunking Internship ( but mostly done by people who infiltrate from private colleges and out of state medical graduates and people from Russia , not all of them but some ) so your friends or your source might be from them who take any thing for granted

And like any profession / field of eduction there are all kind of people working hard / less hard work / bewarse

Generalization doesn't help

and i think you need to know structure of Medical education before you say about how many years are required to learn medicine , i said 4 years in educations with 1 year for training and 1/2 year for rural service

and if you are in any other profession  you are not forced to work any where , you go where you wish

and when you have right to choose , doctors should have right to choose too

Govt should invest in Rural health , rather than exploit and neglect it
