Ever since Narendra Modi took over as Prime Minister of India, he made it clear that he will not tolerate non punctuality. From then on sea change was seen in many government offices. Employees who had a gala time in previous UPA dispensations coming late to work and leaving two hours early started feeling the heat.

With in few days they started entering office premises before 9 AM and even began ensuring that premises are clean and tidy after surprise checks by Modi himself on some occasions.

According to the latest Indian Government's new online biometric attendance system is available online and anyone can check the attendance of the government employees including that of Cabinet Secretariat, and other government bodies like the Central Vigilance Commission and the Planning Commission. More than 147 government organisations and its employees could be monitored.

One can get information on attendance activity, registered employees and no of employees present. This will make Government organisations more transparent.
