Rebels Line Up to Leave Chandrababu Naidu A bear hug between the Chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana recently suggested hostilities were being rested.No more. Four state law-makers and a municipal corporator who belong to the party of Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu say they are keen on shifting to the party of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao or KCR.The group that wants to politically relocate is based in Telangana. Mr Naidu's Telugu Desam Party, which serves as the opposition here but is in power across the border in Andhra Pradesh, has 15 members in the Telangana assembly which has a total of 119 representatives. The rebels from Mr Naidu's party met this morning with KCR in Hyderabad. They said they want to shift allegiance because they aspire to help KCR with his mission to create 'Bangaru Telangana' (Golden Telangana). They said Mr Naidu, the leader of their current party, had wrongly insisted that Hyderabad be a shared capital between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next 10 years. This and other policies of Mr Naidu, they alleged, are aimed at stemming the growth of their state, which was created in June after Andhra Pradesh was bifurcated. Though they have not formally joined their rival yet, they said they will support KCR in the assembly, voting in favour of the government on different issues. In recent weeks, a series of law-makers from the two other opposition parties - the Congress and the YSR Congress - have also switched to KCR's party. They, along with the rebels from the TDP, risk being disqualified as members of the legislature because under the amended provisions of the anti-defection law, they can vote against their party whip in the assembly or merge with another party only if two-third of the legislators of the party are in favour of defection and merger with the other party.Telangana has 119 legislators in the assembly. The TDP had won 15 seats. In the last few weeks, a number of Congress, TDP and the YSR Congress party MLAs have switched loyalty and that could mean disqualification under the anti-defection law.

TDP MLA Prakash Goud ruled out the rumours about joining in TRS party. It is learnt that his meeting with KCR is only to address the local issues faced in his constituency.Further MLA Prakash Goud condemned the rumours of joining in TRS party.In the past MLA Prakash Goud met TS CM KCR to release the budget for problems faced by the locals in his constituency.He further stated that 'I am comfortable with Telugudesam party' and TDP chief Chandrababu is giving much importance for BC's in the party,he added.

He said that the party's agenda of Bus yatra in Telangana will be carried out at any cost. He criticised the ruling TRS party in the Telangana state and its CM KCR saying that TRS party has ignored the administration of the state instead it is eyeing on other party leaders to add its strength.
