The NDRF team of 120 personnel from Delhi has landed on Hyderabad to rescue the people in effected areas . This team will get depart in three and will reach Visakhapatnam and Ammalapuram to participate in rescue operation to save the lives of people at sea shores .
timmy Posted October 12, 2014 Report Posted October 12, 2014 Cyclone Hudhud expected to hit Andhra Pradesh today, thousands evacuated - NDTv The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has conducted a review meeting on the Hud Hud cyclone and stressed that there should be zero casualities . The PM even spoke with the Chief Ministers of AP and Odisha and enquired about the relief measures . Thousands have been evacuated from the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh as Hudhud, a very severe cyclonic storm, races towards the state and neighbouring Odisha. The cyclone has picked up speed - from 120-130 kilometres per hour or kmph to 155-165 kmph - and could hit the coast at a wind speed of 170-180 kmph, according to the Met department.
