Telugu vs Tamil sounds a bit like USA vs UK.

 

Tamils, like UK, used to rule a huge empire, but are now diminished in size and resources to southern corner of Inidia. 

 

Telugus, like USA, haven't ventured much beyond their current borders. But are huge in size and command lots of resources compared to Tamils.

 

TN, like UK, seems to be not rich from the outside, but has very good infrastructure, and a thriving export market.

 

AP (including TG), like USA, seems very rich, but their politicians have to beg companies to set up factories there.

 

TN, like UK, will deal with a part of it wanting to separate, by doing the right thing - Allowing that region to vote whether it wants to stay with TN or not.

 

AP, like USA, will bring down the army, if they had access to it. to suppress a region asking for separation from it.

 

TN, like UK, takes basic health and education of all its residents seriously, and some of the top indices in both among Indian states.

 

AP, like USA, produces lots of students that crack IT, while trailing national literacy rate. On health they do slightly better, but lot behind TN.

 

Conclusion:

Telugus are richer but lack social cohesion and don't seem to understand basic concepts of what entails healthy society, Tamils are more civilized, and more educated.

 

There will be higher number of rich Telugus, but Tamils will make it up with ingenuity from the bottom of their society. Telugus have so much to learn from Tamils.
