I have been downloading from torrents for a long time. Oka sari notice ochindi anthe..Whenever, you see a popular movie/game/series with few seeds and leeches(usually less than 20), there is a high chance that it is a fake one released by the copyright owners to track down offenders. Just stay away from those and you are good. Or you can rent an VPN connection hosted somewhere in Eastern Europe. That way you dont get pulled into this shit. Even better start downloading thru usenet groups. yr ki $100 avtadi, which is not bad considering you get quality downloads with no headaches. And since you are not sharing anything, it all good. Also, usenet downloads are thru a VPN connection hosted outside US. So you are covered on all bases Source: Personal Experience

It is a legal requirement that they send you a written notice. Clarity ivvu---Did you get email or written notice? And is it from ISP or copyright infringement guys? Emails scam chala rakalu untayi. Infact, there are cases where people get emails, claiming that the email is from the state dmv and that the car was speeding in such and such area and pay money. Adi kuda scam. Source: Through work.
