JANASENA Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 "I happened to meet this great man R. Ravi (53) on Saturday 11/10/2014 around 10.30am outside RYA Cosmo foundation on Ottteri high road, Chennai.I was standing outside while my mom was purchasing medicines in the pharmacy behind I saw a man with one hand carrying a tea vessel with paper cups and one plate to hold the cups. I asked him for a tea and he served it to me. While it was 5rs for a tea, I paid him 10rs feeling sympathized that a man with one hand is working so hard to earn his bread. I was taken off surprise when he returned me the change, he said - Sir, I gave only one tea to you and I can't accept 10rs. I then told him to keep the money and give one tea for free to anyone who he felt was needy and he then obliged to my request During the conversation, I was told that he lost his hand in a train accident couple of years ago. He was a daily wages labourer who used to break stones with both his hands. One fine day when he got down from the train and was unloading his tools, the train moved leaving him handicapped forever I salute Mr. Ravi for his never ending positive attitude towards life and his dedication to earn his bread even though he lost his right hand The reason for me to share this with "THE LOGICAL INDIAN" is to boost up the mental morale of the people who follow all your posts like I do on a regular basis When a man who is physically challenged is so strong mentally, why do we ever have to get depressed or bow down to tough circumstances in life. Sometimes most of us I'm sure feel low when we do not get expected response to our desired and preset outcomes I salute the will power of this man - He had a smile on his face despite what life did to him, he looked content with whatever he had and he looked as if nothing ever happened. Personally, I'm a changed man now - despite having all resources in life - I used to keep craving for more and more but now I have realized that God has given most of us much more than we keep thriving for So let's all cheer up, stay motivated and be ever charged! Cheers to R. Ravi God bless him with at most good health, wealth and happiness ahead Cheers to life !!"
