India is obsessed with virginity and there are no two arguments to that point. Some Indians were asked why Indian men tend to prefer a virgin bride, and some of those reactions are shocking to say the least.

One of the conversations went something like:

“I want a virgin bride because then I’ll be tension free.”
“So you also plan to be a virgin till your marriage?”
“Oh I have had sex.”
“How many times?”
“A lot of times.”
“And even then you want a virgin bride?”
“Yeahh… What you want me to marry a slut or what?”

Okay so it’s okay for guys to have pre-marital sex, but girls. Girls cannot have pre-marital sex. If they do, they are sluts. And it is okay for the guy to have pre-marital sex, “lots of times” at that, and even then have the guts to demand a virgin wife.

Another folk said, “it’s in the nature of men to be with many women. But every woman needs to be as pure as the Ganga.”
