Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao and MP Haribabu have visited Visakhapatnam steel plant today. Steel plant CMD has asked them not to believe the rumors about gas leakage in the plant. Hudhud cyclone caused a lot of damage to the steel plant and production is stopped causing loss of Rs. 40 Cr per day. Apart from this, the material loss and infrastructure loss totally amount to Rs.1000 Cr, they were informed. Around 31,000 employees are working in this plant and it will take one more month to operate. Srinivasa Rao has reviewed the situation with the officials.
