The Telangana is reeling under power crisis. The demand for power has been up by 30-40% as compared to last year. To meet this demand T government has put another step forward. Telangana state government will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state of Chattisgarh to purchase 1000 MW of electricity. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the officials of the State Transmission Corporation (TRANSCO) and the state electricity department to prepare the MoU, according to sources.Though this was agreed formally, as there were no trasmission lines from Chattisgarh, it was delayed. The T Govt has also purchased power yesterday and day before yesterday in the open market at 6 Rs
