yeah old cars .... now all imports of LHD vehicles are banned .... few people get them on a scheme called CARNET ... basically those cars can only stay in india for a particular period of time .... for example , cars that come to expos and certain embassy vehicles

I know this because I have see one of friend who has gone through these process ..but eventually he was approved to import his car..on teh condition that he should convert to RHD before bringing on to Road..which costed him more than buying a new vehicle of same model in India

bro honest advice just watchout for fakers .... US or abroad lo 3 years undi if u r coming back to india , you will be allowed to take 1 vehicle ( that was used for atleast an year in the US by the person applying for TR )   ,this scheme is called as Transfer of Residence ( or TR ) , but those cars have to be converted to RHDs first and you cant sell them to anyone before a certain period of time ( 1-2 yrs im not sure ) ... if someones planning to sell u one of those vehicles ask for proper documentation .. lekapothe car confiscate chestharu
