As part of its plans to conquer the ‘South’ the BJP has appointed two of its Party men, Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Krishna Das as ‘in-charge’ for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, respectively.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy is a Member of Parliament representing Saran Lok Sabha constituency in Bihar, India. He is a General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party.

Krishna Das hails from Thalasseri in Kannur, Kerala and was also the president of the BJP for Kerala state. Krishna Das is also the national executive member of the BJP.

Now that the hassles of elections in Maharashtra and Haryana are over, Amit Shah is keen on consolidating the vote bank of the Party and strongly believes that the BJP can make inroads, especially in Telangana.

Both the appointees are said to be on good terms with Venkayya Naidu lending credence to the speculation that he might have had a hand in their selection.
