Spartan Posted October 23, 2014 Report Posted October 23, 2014 usual ga..needi X gb drive undi anuko..unshrinked single volume.. appudu ur PC writes data at random segments cylinders... like 0-1024 cylinders unnai anuko..it will not write in sequnce 0,1,2,3,....ala.. but random ga 0,15,87,24,54....ala rastadi.. but when u shrink and defrag the drive....what it does is..conusmate the randomly spread data..into sequential cylinders...in order 0,1,2,3,.... and then..remaining space or cylinders ni free chestadi as a seperate space which u can defrag.....adi concept.. so u r fine..em kaad.
