Lok Satta leader Jaya prakash Narayan accused the chief ministers of AP and Ts states of failing to fulfill the promises made by them to people. Speaking on the occasion of the 8th annual convention of Lok Satta in Secunderabad on Sunday, he suggested that KCR should follow policies of Lok Satta if he found himself inefficient to rule the state. The meeting was intended to strengthen Lok Satta in Telangana. He told that he would support any government doing good to the people. JP expressed his support to Narendra Modi's Swacch Bharath Mission.

Media has not covered Loksatta leaders like Babji and volunteers have distributed food to backward areas of Vizag. Loksatta is collecting funds from India and across the world to adopt some areas in vizag as long term.  Loksatta after Krishna floods in 2009 adopted some villages in Kurnool, Mehboobnagar, Krishna district. Loksatta has supported them with results till now from basic eminities to school buildings.

My heart goes out to the families in Vizag, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha devastated by cyclone ‪#‎Hudhud‬.
Once again man's puniness in the face of nature's fury is revealed.

I appeal to all Loksatta Party members and supporters to generously give time, money and energy to help with rescue, relief and
restructuring work. With experience, we learned to contain loss of life. But relief is often politicized and we treat the poor and helpless families as mendicants. This should change. Dignity of citizens, long term risk pooling and corruption free, non-partisan relief and rehabilitation should be our goals.

Effective drainage, better basic amenities, improved housing, and poverty alleviation must be the focus to deal with nature's vagaries.Let us leave aside partisan politics and act as one to meet this challenge that confronts us.

Dear friends, We saw the devastation caused by Hudhud in Visakhapatnam and Uttara Andhra. We cannot measure the loss it meant to lakhs of our brothers and sisters. Government will do everything it can. All of us should also contribute in the relief and rebuilding efforts. While Government focuses on providing advance warnings and relief, effective long term rehabilitation for the families is much more difficult. 

In 2009, during the floods to river Krishna, Loksatta Party adopted select villages in Kurnool, Mehboobnagar, Krishna and Guntur and established systems in consultation with local residents that will help with to long term rehabilitation that you can see even today - thousands of families found livelihood. 

We would like to do the same again, now. Whatever we do now must have an impact for a long term. I appeal to everyone to donate to Loksatta Flood Relief fund to help put long terms solutions in place. I assure you that every rupee donated will be put to good use and will reach those affected.

I express my deep sympathy to all those effected by Hudhud and on behalf of everyone at Loksatta Party, we will stand by you and support you in every possible way.
