Telangana has been witnessing frequent power cuts since TS government assumed office. In the latest political development, Chief Minister KCR has instructed CMD of TS Genco and TS Transco to reduce the two-day power holiday a week to one day power holiday as the government saw an improvement in the power supply position. KCR has also instructed that except the offices of Secretary and principal Secretary ranks, chambers of other officials will have no AC. It is to be mentioned that Industries had expressed concern over the two-day power holiday a week saying that it is amounting to huge losses.
