Ideal kid for any Indian Parent: Finish engineering at 21, MBA at 24 , pay off your education loan and get married by 26 ,have first kid at 28 and second at 30 and devote rest of your life raising your kids.

When do we live for ourselves? I do not completely disagree with Parents expectations as they are our parents and think good for us. They want our kids to be grown up by the time we turn 55.

But the other way to look at it is why not finish your studies and freak out as much as we want to. Travel, dance in the rain , fall in love break up and then fall in love again. Settle down when you have found THE one, have kids when you feel like ,but not because age set by our ancestors is telling us to do so. Instead invest on something that counts: your health. Workout so that at age of 65 you have energy of 55. 25 to 35 is the best period of your life when you have time , money and energy at the same time. Don’t let it go.

I am 29 and living every day like it’s my last day. This is the time to make your can’t to can, and dreams to plan.
