The surrounding villages of Pulichintala Project have started getting inundated in water of the project. The people of the villages have started vacating. They infomed that there had been no electricity for the last one month. The number of villages to face the threat are 26, out of which 15 belong to Nalgonda district. They complain that they have not received any compensation so far. The project is located in Pulichintala village in Guntur district and Nemalipuri village on other side of the river in Nalgonda district of Telangana state across the Krishna river
