Even in NYC, moving of whole foods into a certain locality is indicative of the neighborhood getting gentrified, yuppies moving in, and real estate value gradually increasing. Starbucks is another store showing similar characteristics

PS; I buy only medicines at whole foods...nothing much...

I was just extending the point, that stores like Whole Foods are present in areas where there are people with greater purchasing power or they are going to areas where they believe people with greater purchasing power are moving in I would suggest when you have time read up about how gentrification is taking place in Harlem in NYC. People have pretty strong opinions supporting and opposing it. Interesting read
