The New Capital region of Andhra Pradesh lies in a culturally vibrant place which dates back ages! The two cities Guntur-Vijayawada which are separated by just 30 km apart is going to be the new Capital place.!

 

#15. Active place from vedic period!

It was rather considered to be melting pot of Hinduism with Buddhism! It also played a major role through out the history… but never noticed.

Gautama Buddha, Taught the holy ritual of “Kalachakra” in the town of Amaravathi, which is home to many ancient Buddhist monks. Also, recently Dalai Lama XIV came there in 2006 for performing Kalachakra.

Yes! Helium gas was discovered in Guntur city in the year 1868 by a French Astronomer Pierre Janssen on August 18th Solar Eclipse.
